Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Teased by BTS Member J-Hope Ahead of Unpacked
Samsung is set to host its Galaxy Unpacked event in London on July 22, where the company is expected to unveil its latest generation of foldable smartphones and wearables. Ahead of the official presentation, anticipation has been bolstered by a social media tease from BTS member Jung Ho-seok, known professionally as J-Hope.
J-Hope posted a short video on his Instagram Story featuring the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8. While the post does not reveal new technical details, it serves as a corroboration of existing design leaks. Samsung has maintained a long-standing partnership with the South Korean boy band, and this latest appearance continues that collaborative history.

The Upcoming Galaxy Foldable Lineup
The July 22 event will feature a new range of devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold8, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and the Galaxy Z Flip8. Recent reports have clarified the branding for these devices: the successor to the previous Fold7 will be marketed as the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, while the model previously rumored to be the “Fold8 Wide” will be officially known as the Galaxy Z Fold8.
In addition to the smartphones, Samsung is expected to introduce the Galaxy Watch9 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Official-looking renders have already surfaced, showcasing the family of devices and highlighting size differences between the various models.
Design and Hardware Specifications
Leaked information, attributed to reputable sources, indicates that the hardware configuration for the new foldables is largely finalized. The Galaxy Z Fold8 is confirmed to feature a 50MP+50MP camera setup on the rear. Conversely, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will utilize camera hardware consistent with the previous Galaxy Z Fold7. Updated battery capacities for the devices are also expected to be finalized in the upcoming release.
For the wearable category, renders for the Galaxy Watch9 have surfaced, indicating the inclusion of the Snapdragon Wear Elite chip alongside health and fitness tracking features familiar to users of previous models.
Flex Titanium Display Technology
Samsung Electronics has officially unveiled “Flex Titanium” technology, which is designed to enhance the display structure of its next-generation foldable devices. This engineering development integrates two titanium-based components: a titanium-alloy film and a titanium plate. The company states that these advancements serve several primary goals:

- Reducing crease visibility.
- Enhancing overall device durability.
- Balancing slimness and strength within the foldable structure.
Online-Exclusive Color Variants
Ahead of the July 22 launch, images have revealed specific color options for the new foldables that will be available exclusively through the Samsung online store. The Galaxy Z Fold8 will be offered in a “Pistachiocolor, described as a light blue-gray tone.
These models will not be available in physical retail locations, according to reports. As the Unpacked event approaches, the industry remains focused on whether Samsung will provide further details or surprises beyond the extensively leaked specifications and design renders.
