Three people were injured in a dog attack in Christchurch, New Zealand, on Tuesday afternoon. One person sustained critical injuries, another serious injuries, and a third received minor injuries.
Dog Attack in Christchurch Injures Three
Hato Hone St John reported that two patients were transported to Christchurch Hospital. One was in critical condition, and the other had serious injuries. A third patient was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Police responded to the incident at a residential property on Bevin Place around 2:45 p.m. Emergency services found the three injured individuals at the location.
Acting Superintendent Ash Tabb, Christchurch area commander, stated that two dogs at the scene were restrained by animal control and would be removed from the property.
“There is no ongoing risk to the public, and a scene examination will be carried out,” Tabb said.
