Cecelia Doorly, a resident of Garrycastle, Banagher, Co. Offaly, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 12, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Cecelia Doorly (née McNamara) was the beloved wife of the late Ronan and mother to Gerard, Owen, Marése, Albert, and Ronan. She is also survived by her son-in-law Colman, daughters-in-law Maria, Caroline, and Lorraine, and her grandchildren Geoffrey, Gregory, Méabh, Saoirse, Áine, Joseph, David, Maija, Rosie, Isabelle, Jack, and Adam.
She is remembered by her sister and brother, Nora and Paddy, as well as brother-in-law Tadhg, sister-in-law Josephine, and numerous nephews and nieces, relatives, friends, and neighbors.
Cecelia will lie in repose at Eliza Lodge Nursing Home, Banagher (R42 XP20) on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Requiem Mass will be held on arrival at St. Rynagh’s Church, Banagher at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 16, 2026, followed by burial with her husband, Ronan, in St. Rynagh’s Cemetery.
The family requests privacy at their home. Family flowers only are requested.
