A fire broke out at a building in Buona Vista, Singapore, which houses the Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT) on the evening of April 6.

The CSIT is the lead digital technology agency within the Ministry of Defence (Mindef).
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) received an alert about a fire involving a cooling tower on the rooftop of a building located at 30 Science Park Road at 6:35 p.m.
Workers at the building extinguished the blaze using a hosereel and dry powder fire extinguishers before SCDF personnel arrived on the scene.
SCDF reported no injuries and stated that the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
A video taken from the nearby National University of Singapore campus and posted on the social media platform Xiaohongshu on April 6 shows a large plume of smoke rising in the distance.
