A senior Chinese language teacher has dedicated over four decades to preschool education, witnessing generations of families pass through her classrooms. Ms. Toh, who has been with PCF Sparkletots since 1984, says she initially decided to become an educator through her experiences caring for family.
Long-Standing Career in Early Childhood Education
Ms. Toh stated she didn’t anticipate remaining in the role for so long, but expressed gratitude for the experiences and opportunities it has provided. She began her work with PCF Sparkletots before the organization was formally established.
One of her most rewarding experiences has been teaching multiple generations of the same family. Currently teaching at PCF Sparkletots @ Seletar-Serangoon Blk 518, she has a student who is the son of a former student she taught years ago.
Ms. Tang Jie Ning, 29, enrolled her son, Kaziel, at the center despite it not being the closest preschool to their home, citing her long-standing relationship with Ms. Toh and her trust in the teaching team.
