Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Launches Rowad Diploma for Youth

The new diploma is a collaborative effort between the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the National CSR Fund (Majra), and the Higher Innovation Academy. By targeting 25 participants, the program seeks to provide a specialized environment for developing leadership and management skills, with a specific focus on transforming innovative ideas into sustainable business models.

Program Structure and Certification

According to the Chamber’s leadership, the curriculum spans 120 training hours, blending academic theory with practical application. The program is led by a team of business management and project development experts.

Sultan Jameel Al Hindasi, director general of the Fujairah Chamber, emphasized that the initiative is part of a broader strategy to align local business outcomes with the UAE’s national objectives. He noted that the limited cohort size is intended to ensure the quality of training and maximize the impact of the instruction.

Fujairah Chamber’s Long-term Entrepreneurship Strategy

The “Rowad” diploma arrives as part of efforts by the Fujairah Chamber to stimulate the local economy. Recent reporting indicates that over the past three years, the Chamber has organized more than 50 training workshops and programs, which have successfully graduated 100 entrepreneurs. These efforts are often tied to national campaigns, such as the initiative to position the UAE as a global hub for entrepreneurs.

Beyond classroom training, the Chamber has facilitated international exposure for local business owners. This includes organizing delegations to trade exhibitions in China, Indonesia, and Turkey. The Chamber’s commitment to small projects dates back to 2007, when it established the Fujairah Centre for Small Business Support to provide a dedicated structure for emerging enterprises.

Partnerships and Community Impact

The Chamber has relied on cross-sector partnerships to scale its programs. These partnerships focus on human capital investment, with the foundation reporting that its own programs have trained nearly 200 Emirati women, resulting in approximately 160 successful entrepreneurs.

For the “Rowad” diploma, the registration window remains open until the end of July. The program serves as a tangible metric of the Chamber’s ongoing investment in the local workforce, aiming to bridge the gap between initial business ideas and operational market entry.
