Goa Police on Tuesday detained Ajay Gupta, an alleged partner of the Luthra brothers, owners of the nightclub where a fire killed 25 people on Saturday.

A Look Out Circular (LOC) was issued against Gupta and Surinder Kumar Khosla, a senior police official said. Khosla is a British citizen.
The detentions came hours after nightclub owners Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra fled to Thailand.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Varsha Sharma said the LOC was issued against Gupta and Khosla, according to the PTI report.
Police have arrested five individuals so far, including the nightclub’s chief general manager, Rajiv Modak, general manager Vivek Singh, bar manager Rajiv Singhania, gate manager Riyanshu Thakur and Bharat Kohli.
Owners Fled to Thailand
Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra fled the country five hours after the fire at their nightclub in Arpora village of Goa. The first alert regarding the fire was received by police at 12:04 am on Sunday.
The Luthra brothers boarded an IndiGo 6E 1073 flight from New Delhi to Phuket, Thailand, at 5:30 am on Sunday. The flight landed in Phuket after 11 am on Sunday, according to trackers.
Police confirmed the owners had fled after reaching their residence in Delhi on Monday. A look-out notice against the Luthra brothers was issued via the Bureau of Immigration (BoI) on Sunday evening.
