Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono said the government is identifying all affected livestock, including chickens, cattle, and goats. He stated the ministry is committed to addressing the disaster’s impact on livestock through comprehensive data collection to ensure sustainable recovery for affected farmers.
According to preliminary data released on December 31, approximately 779,000 livestock animals were impacted by the floods and landslides that occurred in November. The government is working to identify all types of affected livestock to ensure aid distribution matches the specific conditions on the ground and prevents further losses in severely impacted areas.
Aid distribution to affected livestock farmers will begin once the emergency response phase is completed.
