/ The management of the Student Sports Club announced, on Sunday, that it had accepted the resignation of its football team coach, Ahmed Khalaf, and had hired a new coach.
The club’s secretary, Bassem Jamal, told Agency, “The club’s management officially contracted with the new coach, Ahmed Salah, and all the terms of the contract and details were agreed upon.”
He stressed, “Salah will lead the team in his first training unit today, and we have provided him with all the means for success,” adding, “Salah is a competent coach who can change the team’s course for the better after the failures the team suffered at the beginning of its career in the professional league.”
Jamal pointed out that “the administration thanked Ahmed Khalaf for his effort in preparing the team, even though he was not lucky in the previous matches in the league.”
Ahmed Khalaf submitted his resignation from the leadership of the students after yesterday’s loss to Naft Maysan 0-4 in the Iraq Stars League.
