The Ministry of Youth and Sports announced the completion of a draft amendment and increase in the budgets of sports federations, as directed by Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, in support of the sports movement in Iraq.
The Director General of the Department of Physical Education in the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Muwafaq Abdel-Wahab, told the (INA), today, Thursday: “The Ministry of Youth, under the guidance of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, issued a ministerial order to form a committee headed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and represented by the spokesman (Muwafaq Abdel-Wahhab). Al-Wahab) and the membership of the Financial Secretary of the Olympic Committee, Ahmed Sabry, and the President of the Rowing Federation, Abdel Salam Sabry, representing the Olympic federations, and Adel Eidan, representing the non-Olympic federations, to study the project to increase the budgets of sports federations.”
Abdel Wahab added, “Over the course of ten days, the committee held three meetings to discuss the project, and the final draft was developed and submitted to the Department of Financial, Administrative, and Legal Affairs in the Ministry, after which it was submitted to the Ministry of Finance.”
