Fresh attacks targeting Iran’s infrastructure have been launched by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) following overnight strikes on oil depots in Tehran. The escalation comes as tensions remain high across the region, with reports of hostile drone activity and strikes in multiple countries.

Iran Attacks

The IDF reported launching a fresh wave of attacks targeting Iran’s infrastructure. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran’s “openness to de-escalation” has been “almost immediately killed” by President Trump’s “misinterpretation” of Iran’s capabilities and intent.

Gulf Region Incidents

The Kuwait army reported dealing “with a wave of hostile drones,” including an attack on fuel tankers at the Kuwait International Airport. A large fire also engulfed a tower in the region.

In Dubai, a resident was killed by shrapnel from an “aerial interception” that fell on a vehicle in the Al Barsha area, according to the Dubai Media Office.

Israel’s Response

Opposition politician Yair Lapid urged the government to “destroy all of Iran’s oil fields” to cripple its economy. The IDF also reported carrying out a strike on the Quds Force in Lebanon, the overseas operation arm of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and working to intercept missiles launched from Iran.

Situation in Lebanon

Lebanese officials reported multiple strikes overnight, including an Israeli airstrike on a hotel that resulted in four deaths. Nearly half a million people have been displaced by the fighting so far, according to Lebanese officials.

United States Involvement

President Trump criticized Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer in a Truth Social post, stating “we don’t need people that join wars after we’ve already won.” The BBC reported that the UK aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales has been placed on advanced readiness.
