The President of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, Aqeel Muften, sent a message to the Iraqi fans before our national team’s match against its Indonesian counterpart at the beginning of its journey in the Asian Nations Finals currently being held in the Qatari capital, Doha.
Muftin told the (INA): “Our team needs solidarity and real support to make its national mission a success, calling on the sports media to harness all its capabilities to support the Mesopotamian Lions in this important continental entitlement.”
Muften added, “All we can give our youth in Doha is encouragement and raising morale, stressing the need to stay away from negative symptoms and destructive ideas that affect the level and spirit of the team in this important competition.”
On the other hand, Muftin stressed that “the Iraqi sports institutions represented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the National Olympic Committee and the sports federations work in high harmony to achieve and improve the sporting reality.”
