Bali’s Penglipuran Village and the Secret Monkey Forest are set to adjust entry fees in 2026, offering updated ticketing options and experiences for visitors.

Penglipuran Village Updates Pricing

Penglipuran Village in Bangli Regency, recognized by the UN World Tourism Organisation as one of the World’s Best Tourism Villages, will implement new visiting packages starting January 1, 2026. The changes aim to provide more inclusive experiences and ensure sustainable tourism management while supporting the local community.

Currently a residential community open to tourism, Penglipuran Village will no longer charge separate entrance fees. Instead, tourists will be required to purchase a Visiting Package.

Visiting Package Options

Two ticketing options will be available. Option One, priced at IDR 50,000 for international adults and IDR 30,000 for international children (IDR 25,000 and IDR 15,000 respectively for domestic tourists), includes access to the Main Street (Jalan Utama Desa), residents’ homes, and the bamboo forest.

Option Two, offering a more immersive experience, includes a dedicated local guide and access to all public areas of the village. This package is priced at IDR 125,000 for international adults and IDR 100,000 for international children.

Secret Monkey Forest to Increase Fees

Bali’s Secret Monkey Forest, also known as Alas Kedaton, will also introduce new ticket prices in 2026. International adult tickets will increase from IDR 30,000 to IDR 70,000, while children’s tickets will rise from IDR 20,000 to IDR 60,000.

Alas Kedaton, a quieter monkey forest located in Tabanan Regency, welcomes an average of 50 tourists daily and is a popular stop on day trips that include Tanah Lot Temple and Jatiluwih Rice Terraces.
