Australian creative technology firm Nova Studio has expanded its Asia Pacific team with two senior appointments—Aimee Jenkins as director of strategic partnerships and Niall Hogan as a consultant focusing on holding companies and independent agencies—as the company accelerates its regional buy-side growth under general manager Gavin Merwood, according to recent corporate announcements.
Nova Studio Expands APAC Leadership With Key Senior Hires
Nova Studio is actively scaling its footprint across the Asia Pacific region. The creative technology platform recently named Aimee Jenkins as its new director of strategic partnerships, APAC. At the same time, the company brought on Niall Hogan as a consultant. Hogan’s core focus will center on expanding Nova Studio’s business activities with holding companies and independent agencies operating out of Singapore and the broader Southeast Asian market. Both executives report directly to Gavin Merwood, general manager, APAC, following what the company characterizes as a period of strong year-on-year growth across the territory.
The strategic expansion arrives as ad tech and marketing technology firms aggressively scale their operations throughout the region. Industry competitors are also making major structural moves; for instance, influencer marketing and technology platform Fabulate recently secured an oversubscribed AU$4.5 million funding round, pushing its post-money valuation to AU$84.5 million, alongside international expansion.
Backgrounds of Jenkins and Hogan Strengthen Regional Buy-Side Strategy
The newly appointed leaders bring extensive ad tech pedigree to Nova Studio as the platform seeks to deepen relationships with key buy-side partners. Aimee Jenkins transitions to Nova Studio from Yahoo DSP, where she built deep expertise in driving programmatic and strategic growth. In her new role, Jenkins will spearhead efforts to expand key partnerships across the APAC region while nurturing existing commercial ties to support the company’s broader geographical roadmap.
Niall Hogan steps into his consulting role after previously working with the APAC go-to-market consultancy Frontier Eight. Hogan brings a substantial track record of executive leadership within the digital advertising ecosystem, having held senior management positions at GumGum, Ogury, and Integral Ad Science (IAS). His immediate mandate involves scaling Nova Studio’s commercial footprint among holding groups and independent agency networks headquartered in Singapore and key Southeast Asian hubs.
Reflecting on the dual appointments, Gavin Merwood emphasized the strategic weight of bringing in talent of this caliber during a critical expansion phase. I’m genuinely excited to welcome Jenkins and Hogan to the Nova Studio team,
said Merwood. He added, Both of them bring a rare combination of pedigree, relationships and firsthand experience across our industry, and it’s not often you get to add two people of this calibre to the business at the same time.
Merwood also pointed to the timing of these hires as evidence of the company’s upward trajectory in the market. We’re at a pivotal point in our growth story in APAC, and having leaders of this quality join us now says a lot about where we’re headed. I couldn’t be more pleased to have them on board,
Merwood stated.
Broader Ad Tech Expansion Across the Asia Pacific Market
Nova Studio’s regional push mirrors a wider wave of investment and leadership restructuring across the Asia Pacific marketing landscape. Over the past two years, competitor platform Fabulate has pushed aggressively beyond its domestic Australian market, establishing operational footprints across New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, and Japan, backed by its recent capital injection. Concurrently, other major industry players are realigning their leadership teams to capture rising regional demand, including WPP Brand & Design unveiling a new APAC leadership structure, Archetype strengthening its regional team for an AI visibility push, and Brazen MENA expanding into APAC with a newly appointed general manager.
