Yoto Launches Fourth-Generation Audio Devices with Green Button

Yoto has launched its fourth-generation Yoto Player and Yoto Mini audio devices, introducing a dedicated green button that stores up to 20 favorite tracks, stories, or podcasts for direct playback without physical cards or smartphone apps, cnet.com reported.

Hardware Upgrades and Pricing Changes for Fourth-Generation Devices

The updated fourth-generation Yoto Player starts at $150, while the Yoto Mini starts at $110, representing $40 and $30 price increases respectively compared to previous models, cnet.com reported. Both units are equipped with 64GB of storage, which doubles the capacity of older versions and accommodates over 1,000 hours of offline audio. Additional hardware improvements feature Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.1, a new processor, faster downloads, and a two-year warranty.

The compact Yoto Mini adds IP67 dust and water resistance, providing protection against accidental splashes and playground environments. Battery life for both new models drops slightly to 14 hours compared to 16 hours on third-generation versions, cnet.com reported. New accessories include silicone Adventure Jackets priced at $22.99 for the Mini and $29.99 for the larger Player, alongside a $34.99 Mini Travel Case.

Green Button Lets Children Play Favorite Content

Parents can assign up to 20 favorite selections—including stories, songs, podcasts, timers, or soundscapes—allowing children to browse and play content directly from the unit without cards or phones. The button integrates with expanded daily routines, enabling content lineups to shift automatically, such as swapping daytime podcasts for calming bedtime stories and sleep sounds in the evening.

Physical Yoto Cards remain functional for discovering new content, accessing digital-only cards, and utilizing free audio tools like toothbrush timers. Both devices ship with a free digital Yoto Originals card, a Make Your Own Card, and stickers. Preorders opened on September 10, with the Mini shipping on September 30 and the larger Player scheduled to ship on October 15.
