Today, Wednesday, the Al-Zawraa football team achieved a valuable victory over Naft Al-Wasat Club with two unanswered goals, while the positive draw decided the Al-Jawiya and Al-Kahraba match with two goals to the same in a postponed match from the sixth round of the Iraq Stars League.

The (INA) correspondent reported, “Al-Zawraa team defeated its guest, Naft Al-Wasat, with two unanswered goals, in the postponed match of the fifth round of the Iraq Stars League, at Al-Zawraa International Stadium.”
He added, “The goalless draw overshadowed the result of the first half, which witnessed almost absolute control by Al-Zawraa amid wasting many opportunities. In the second half, Murad Mohamed succeeded in scoring the first goal for his team Al-Zawraa in the 70th minute via a header that he deposited in the middle of the goal, while Mohamed doubled the score.” Ali Abboud, the home team took the lead in the 90th minute (90+1) after receiving a perfect cross from Murad Mohamed.
He pointed out, “Al-Zawraa raised its score to 22 points in third place, while Naft Al-Wasat’s score froze at 5 points at the bottom of the standings.”
In the second match, the Al-Quwa football team tied with its counterpart, Al-Kahraba, with a score of 2-2 in the match that was held at Al-Shaab International Stadium, among the postponed matches from the sixth round of the Iraq Stars League.”
Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya advanced with two goals in the first half, scored by Ayman Hussein from a penalty kick in the 17th minute. Then Ali Jassim increased his team’s lead with the second goal with a missile from outside the penalty area in the 45th minute.
Al-Kahraba coach Louay Salah succeeded in turning the tide in the second half and was able to equalize the score with two goals scored by professional Deniz Tetteh in the 59th minute, then Mahmoud Khalil in the 84th minute of the match.
With this tie, the Air Force raised its score to 27 points at the top of the standings, while Al-Kahraba’s score became 13 points in twelfth place.”
In the third match, which took place at the same time, Al-Qassim snatched a valuable draw from host Zakho, 1-1, in a postponed match from the sixth round of the Iraq Stars League.
Striker Muhaymen Salim Malakh was able to score the first goal for Zakho in the 10th minute. Alaa Muhaisen snatched Al-Qasim’s equalizer in the 60th minute.
With this tie, Zakho’s score became 18 points in fourth place, while Al Qasim reached 13 points in 12th place.”
