Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht‑Ravanchi stated Iran is ready to negotiate in good faith, but cautioned that a U.S. strike would be “a real gamble.”

U.S. Position and Potential Military Action

President Trump is holding off on ordering a strike against Iran until after Thursday’s talks in Geneva, according to reports. The decision will be guided by assessments from U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner regarding the likelihood of a deal.

The White House has affirmed that President Trump prioritizes diplomacy with Iran but remains prepared to use lethal force if needed, according to press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

Regional Tensions and Conflicts

The Lebanese army announced reinforcements and a response after Israeli fire struck a southern border post.
