Lefevre, who most recently served as an assistant for the Minnesota Timberwolves, takes over the head coaching duties from Julius Thomas, who led the team through the conclusion of the 2025–2026 season.

Through his work, he steadily climbed the coaching ranks, leading to his official appointment as a coaching assistant in August 2024. Lefevre’s background also includes extensive experience in the collegiate ranks. Prior to his move to the NBA, he spent four years serving as the director of player development at Texas Tech University. During his tenure at the university, the program saw notable success, reaching the 2019 NCAA final and securing the Big 12 regular-season championship, which provided him with a strong foundation in high-level player management.

The hiring of Lefevre brings additional changes to the Paris coaching staff. Pierricas Poupet, the former head coach of Vilerbano ASVEL, will join the organization to serve as an assistant coach.
