Police looking for GetGo driver involved in hit-and-run accident with bus in Woodlands

Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident in Woodlands involving a car and a bus that occurred on the night of Dec. 10.

Woodlands Hit-and-Run Investigation

Authorities were alerted to the incident, which took place along Woodlands Avenue 6 at 9:50 p.m., according to police statements.

The driver of the car involved left the scene before police arrived. Efforts to locate the motorist are currently underway.

No injuries were reported in the accident. The Singapore Civil Defence Force stated that its assistance was not required.

Photos circulating on social media, posted by a Xiaohongshu user, show a white GetGo car with significant front-end damage after colliding with the rear of a bus. The car’s bonnet was folded upwards and the front bumper was collapsed, exposing internal parts.

GetGo, the car-sharing company, confirmed awareness of the incident. “The safety of our users and the wider community is of utmost importance,” a company spokesperson said. “Our priority continues to be offering the necessary support to the parties involved, and cooperating fully with the authorities in their investigation.”
