Cole Thomas Allen, a resident of a quiet Los Angeles suburb, has been charged with attempting to assassinate President Donald Trump during a Washington dinner.
Allen lived with his parents in Torrance, a coastal community known for its million-dollar homes, ocean breezes, and high-quality schools.
Investigation into Donald Trump Assassination Attempt
Neighbors expressed shock after seeing Allen on television handcuffed and face down at the Hilton Hotel. He allegedly arrived armed to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
“It’s bizarre that this person lives two blocks away from your house,” said neighbor Vince Terrazzino.
FBI agents have since been canvassing the neighborhood, knocking on doors and searching for clues. While the heavy media presence was irritating to some residents, others found the activity exciting.
