Boxing Day Arrest and Domestic Violence Charges

At around 8:45 AM on Saturday, December 27, 2025, officers from Ryde Police Area Command arrested Gallagher at a unit complex on Appleforth Street in Melrose Park, Sydney, as reported in police records. He was transported to Gladesville Police Station. While no serious injuries were reported, Gallagher was refused bail and appeared at Parramatta Local Court on Sunday, December 28, 2025, where he received conditional bail. He was subsequently scheduled to appear at Burwood Local Court on Thursday, January 15, 2026, where he pleaded not guilty to the charges before skipping the subsequent court date. The charges include assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent, and common assault. Additionally, an apprehended violence application was lodged on behalf of Gael Cameron, whose two-year apprehended violence order was finalised by the judge during the recent proceedings.

The Irish charge accuses him of assaulting another man and causing him harm on Main Street in Dungloe on August 7, 2022. That alleged offense violates section 3 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997. Gallagher was originally arrested in August 2022, two years before gaining wider public recognition as a cast member on Below Deck Mediterranean.
