Reality TV Star in Trouble: ‘Offshore’ Donegal Star Issued Arrest Warrant in Australia Over Court No-Show – Irish Reality TV Stars News

An arrest warrant has been issued in Australia for Below Deck Mediterranean star Nathan Gallagher after the Donegal reality TV star failed to appear at Burwood Local Court to face serious domestic violence charges, according to court reports.

Burwood Local Court Hearing and Absence of Nathan Gallagher

When the case was called before Local Court Judge Janine Lacy, the Burtonport native was not in attendance. Despite his absence, prosecutors pressed for a conviction, and Judge Lacy convicted him in absentia on all three counts while issuing a warrant for his arrest. Judge Lacy stated on the record, according to news.com.au, Given the serious nature of offences, and I note on the record I have been given documentation from immigration compliance operations division that he is currently overseas and added, The defendant doesn’t have any prior criminal history but the offences are very serious, with significant maximum penalties, and context of DV committed in the home. She concluded, I record a conviction and issue a [arrest] warrant.

Boxing Day Arrest and Domestic Violence Charges

At around 8:45 AM on Saturday, December 27, 2025, officers from Ryde Police Area Command arrested Gallagher at a unit complex on Appleforth Street in Melrose Park, Sydney, as reported in police records. He was transported to Gladesville Police Station. While no serious injuries were reported, Gallagher was refused bail and appeared at Parramatta Local Court on Sunday, December 28, 2025, where he received conditional bail. He was subsequently scheduled to appear at Burwood Local Court on Thursday, January 15, 2026, where he pleaded not guilty to the charges before skipping the subsequent court date. The charges include assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent, and common assault. Additionally, an apprehended violence application was lodged on behalf of Gael Cameron, whose two-year apprehended violence order was finalised by the judge during the recent proceedings.

Connection to Below Deck Mediterranean and Gael Cameron

Nathan Gallagher and Gael Cameron met during Season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean in mid-2024 while employed as deckhands aboard the luxury superyacht Mustique in Athens, Greece. Their romance blossomed on screen, and the couple later welcomed a son together last summer. However, their relationship has since dissolved, and they no longer follow each other on Instagram. Cameron attended Burwood Local Court ready to give evidence, but the hearing was aborted due to Gallagher’s non-attendance. Prior to wiping his social media presence, Gallagher issued a public statement addressing the allegations to Rolling Stone, stating, I have kept the evidence and will deal with it through the appropriate channels, and adding, But I also don’t believe it is fair for one version of events to be presented publicly as though it is the complete story when there is evidence that may materially contradict or provide significant context to that account.

Active Bench Warrant in Ireland for Prior Assault Charge

Beyond his legal troubles in Sydney, Donegal Daily has established that Gallagher is also wanted in his home country. A live bench warrant remains active for his arrest, issued at Dungloe District Court on April 8, 2025, after he failed to appear for a scheduled court date. The Irish charge accuses him of assaulting another man and causing him harm on Main Street in Dungloe on August 7, 2022. That alleged offense violates section 3 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997. Gallagher was originally arrested in August 2022, two years before gaining wider public recognition as a cast member on Below Deck Mediterranean.
