Indonesia’s railway network has been bolstered by the installation of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) solutions from Salicru, supporting critical infrastructure across the nation’s key railway lines.
Salicru Strengthens Indonesian Railway Infrastructure
With over 270 million inhabitants and a majority of the population concentrated on the island of Java, Indonesia’s railway network is vital for inter-city mobility, metropolitan transport and freight transport. Salicru has expanded its presence in the Asian railway sector with the project, undertaken in collaboration with PT BINA SERVICES, its official partner in Indonesia.
The project included both new installations and the replacement of older PILLER UPS systems in major railway hubs on Java and Sumatra. In Java, the DAOP 1 (Jakarta and its metropolitan area), DAOP 2 (Bandung and West Java), DAOP 3 (Cirebon and the northern corridor) and DAOP 5 (Central Java) operational divisions received SLC CUBE-4 and TWIN RT2 solutions to ensure electrical continuity for signalling, telecommunications and railway control systems.
On Sumatra, the DIVRE 3 and DIVRE 4 divisions were equipped with a combination of new installations and technological upgrades using the SLC CUBE 3+, SLC CUBE-4 and TWIN RT2 systems to improve the reliability of critical infrastructure.
Light rail transit (LRT) systems in Jakarta and Palembang were also equipped with SLC CUBE 3+ systems to ensure energy stability. Additionally, the Indonesian Department of Air Transportation and various data centres utilize Salicru’s SLC ADAPT2 solutions for scalable applications and maximum availability.
