Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja criticized the February 8 elections, alleging a denial of the voters’ mandate, and vowed the party would continue to pursue the matter.
Political Strategy and Resistance
Raja emphasized that strikes are a significant political strategy, clarifying that they do not necessarily involve violent confrontation. He described such actions as a form of “resistance and awareness.”
“People cannot forget by simply flying kites; the day will come when millions will rise together,” Raja stated, suggesting continued mobilization.
Imran Khan’s Health and Legal Access
Raja also expressed ongoing concern regarding the health of PTI founder Imran Khan. However, he noted a positive development: the Supreme Court has granted Barrister Salman Safdar permission to meet with Khan.
Safdar is scheduled to meet Khan at 2:00 PM today, as part of a day designated for family and legal representatives to visit the PTI founder at Adiala Jail.
Continued Struggle and Youth Support
Raja thanked those who participated in the February 8 strike, highlighting the role of youth as a source of hope for the future. He affirmed that the party’s struggle will continue.
“Walking these streets is our right; kite flying is just a temporary distraction, a one-day affair,” he said.
PTI leadership reiterated their commitment to ongoing political struggle and mobilization, aiming to increase public participation and raise awareness about their cause.
