Passengers on a Scoot flight from Davao City, Philippines, to Singapore arrived to discover their luggage had not been loaded onto the plane. The airline has apologized for the inconvenience, stating the baggage was placed on the next available flight.

Scoot Flight TR359 Luggage Issue

The issue came to light after a passenger, Serena Chandra, posted about the incident on Facebook. According to Chandra, passengers waited for an hour at the baggage collection point before being informed their luggage was not on the flight.

FlightAware data shows Scoot flight TR359 departed Francisco Bangoy International Airport at 9:32 p.m. Singapore time on March 15, 57 minutes behind schedule. The flight landed at Changi Airport Terminal 1 at 12:47 a.m. on March 16, arriving one hour and 17 minutes late.

Chandra claims all passengers were required to file lost-and-found reports, without pre-filled forms or refreshments being offered while they queued. Photos accompanying her post show a line of passengers with only carry-on baggage.

A Scoot spokesperson said the baggage was “reaccommodated onto the next available flight” due to “operational considerations.” The airline apologized and confirmed they have contacted affected passengers. Baggage was delivered to passengers’ residences or hotels on March 16.

This incident follows a February 9 cancellation of a Scoot flight from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore due to a technical fault. Additionally, passengers on a flight to Chiang Mai experienced a two-hour takeoff delay on February 1 due to the Singapore Airshow.
