/ Today, Wednesday, American pop star Taylor Swift was named Person of the Year 2023 by Time magazine after her concert tour constituted an exceptional event in the music industry.
The magazine’s editor-in-chief, Sam Jacobs, considered that “much of what (Taylor) Swift accomplished in 2023 is priceless,” noting that she “was committed to appreciating people’s dreams, feelings, and experiences, especially women who feel neglected and constantly underestimated.”
When it ends at the end of 2024, the revenues from the “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” tour will exceed one billion dollars for the first time in the history of music, according to American estimates. The specialized magazine “Polestar” expected that the income from the tour concerts would reach about 1.9 billion dollars.
At the beginning of last September, the head of the US Federal Reserve in New York, John Williams, revealed that what he described as “the Taylor Swift factor” had contributed to stimulating the US economy in recent months, “because people were spending on parties and hotels, and all of that constituted a major phenomenon.”
