Hundreds of boats accompanied the vessel carrying the Sto. Niño image as it traveled across the Mactan Channel toward the Cebu City pier. The procession began at 6 a.m. and concluded before 10 a.m.

A total of 392 sea vessels were registered to participate in this year’s parade, according to the Philippine Coast Guard Central Cebu.

Following the fluvial procession, the image of the Sto. Nino de Cebu was returned to the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño. A reenactment of the first Mass, baptism, and wedding was then conducted at the Pilgrim Center.

A 7-kilometer foot procession around the main streets of Cebu City is scheduled to take place later in the day.
