Police Response to Youth Behavior in Nadi
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Kasiano Vusonilawe stated that officers in the Nadi district have been directed to revisit local communities and settlements in the area.
The police force is currently reposturing operations in preparation for the upcoming school holidays and will conduct awareness campaigns to address the behavior of these young people.
With the Coca-Cola Games approaching, officers are visiting schools and institutions where students are being billeted. Regular patrols are also being conducted at locations where students participate in various educational and sporting activities across all divisions.
ACP Vusonilawe called for an “all hands-on approach” to ensure the safety of the youth, warning that the law will take its course once boundaries are crossed.
