In addition to Toto Sugiri who became one of the main players in the database business through PT DCI Indonesia Tbk. (DCII), several Indonesian conglomerates also started to enter to take part in the business.
One of the actions of the national conglomerate in the database sector that managed to steal the attention was when Anthoni Salim increased his shareholding in DCII.
On May 31, 2021, Anthoni Salim increased his shareholding in DCII by 192.74 million shares.
Thus, his shareholding in the data center service provider company became 11.12 percent, which was previously only 3.03 percent.
Information disclosure on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) shows that Anthoni bought 8.09 percent of DCII’s shares for Rp. 5,277, far below the DCII market price, which on May 31 closed at Rp. 13,750.
