Today, Sunday, the Asian Football Confederation announced the schedule of matches for the Asian Futsal Finals, which will be organized by the Thai capital, Bangkok, for the period from April 17 to April 24 of next year, 2024, with the participation of 18 Asian teams, including Iraq.
The media coordinator of the Futsal Committee, Uday Sabbar, said in a statement to the (INA): “The Asian Confederation announced, today, Sunday, the schedule of matches for the Asian Finals, which will be hosted by the Thai capital, Bangkok, for the period from 17 to 24 April of next year, 2024,” noting that “the team The National Team will play its first match against its Saudi counterpart on April 17 of next year, and our team will play with Uzbekistan on the 19th of the same month, while the group stage will conclude with a meeting with Australia on the 21st.
Sabar added, “The Brazilian coach who will lead the team in the aforementioned tournament, Ricardo Sobral Cocoa, will present his preparatory curriculum for the tournament to the Football Association in the coming days, which includes internal and external camps and trial matches,” pointing out that “Cocoa will be in Baghdad on the fifth of next month.” To review the league matches and learn about the capabilities of some of the players who will be followed by his assistant, Hassan Abdel Ali, stressing that the twentieth of next January will be the first gathering of the team in preparation for the Asian Championship.
