The Iraqi army heads to Kuwait on an Asian mission

/ The Iraqi Army Handball Club delegation headed to Kuwait, on Wednesday, for the purpose of participating in the 26th Asian Club Championship.

A member of the media office of the Hand Federation, Hossam Abdel Reda, told Agency, “The Army Club team will represent Iraq in the Asian Club Championship, which will be held in Kuwait City for the period from 17 to 27 of this month.”

Abdel Reda added, “The Asian draw placed the Al-Jaish team in the second group alongside the Qatari clubs Al-Arabi, Al-Sharjah of the Emirates, Al-Qadisiyah of Kuwait, Sai Al-Hindi and Al-Shabab of Lebanon.”

He confirmed that “Al-Hish Club will face Qatari Al-Arabi Club in its first match in the tournament next Friday.”

It is noteworthy that the Police Handball Club won the Premier League title for the 2022-2023 season without suffering any loss, and the Army Club came second and the Popular Mobilization Forces came third.
