Today, Tuesday, the delegation of our national football team leaves us on its way to the Emirates to enter a preparatory training camp, including one test match against South Korea on the sixth of this month, and then head to the Qatari capital, Doha, to participate in the 2024 Asian Cup competitions.
The media coordinator for the national team, Muhammad Imad, said in a statement exclusively to Al-Sabah newspaper, followed by the (INA): “The delegation of our national team will travel by private plane today to the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi, and the delegation will be headed by Ali Jabbar, Vice President of the Federation, and Younis Mahmoud, Vice President.” For the head of the delegation and the supervisor, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, a member of the Federation, along with club players in the Iraq Stars League.”
He added, “Professional and expatriate players will arrive in the Emirates on the same day in order to prepare for the match against South Korea on the sixth of this month.”
He explained, “Our Spanish national team coach, Jesus Casas, chose the South Korean team because of the similarity of the Samson playing style to the teams of the Iraq group, such as Japan, Vietnam, and Indonesia. This trial match will be an ideal opportunity to apply the appropriate tactic and choose the players for the continental matches.”
