Today…the start of the African Nations Championship in Côte d’Ivoire »

The 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations football tournament, hosted by Côte d’Ivoire, will begin this evening, Saturday, and its competitions will continue until next February 11, with the participation of 24 teams.

The correspondent of the (INA) said, “The opening match will bring together the Côte d’Ivoire team, the host of the tournament, and Guinea Bissau, at 11 pm today and will be held at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan as part of the first round of the first group.”
He added, “Today’s match will be led by an Egyptian refereeing team led by Amin Omari, assisted by Mahmoud Abu Al-Rijal and Ahmed Hossam, two assistant referees, Mohamed Maarouf as the fourth referee, Mahmoud Ashour, a substitute referee, and Mahmoud Al-Banna, a substitute referee.”
It is noteworthy that (24) teams are participating in this edition, distributed into (6) groups with (4) teams in each group, most notably Egypt, Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia, Nigeria, Algeria and Cameroon. The Africa Cup of Nations competitions will conclude on the eleventh of February. Next.
