Several Toronto streets will be closed Sunday for the 60th annual Toronto Beaches Lions Club Easter Parade. The parade begins at 2 p.m., travelling along Queen Street East and Woodbine Avenue.
Toronto Beaches Easter Parade Road Closures
Toronto Police are advising drivers to be aware of full and partial road closures throughout the day. The following closures will be in effect:
- Queen Street East from Munroe Park Avenue to Fallingbrook Road will be partially closed from 10 a.m. until noon.
- Queen Street East from Munroe Park Avenue to Fallingbrook Road, and Nursewood Road from Queen Street East to 24 Nursewood Rd. will be fully closed from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
- Queen Street East from Woodbine Avenue to Fallingbrook Road will be fully closed from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Woodbine Avenue from Queen Street East to Lake Shore Boulevard East, and Lake Shore Boulevard East from Coxwell to Woodbine avenues will be fully closed from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
TTC Service Disruptions
Temporary rerouting is in effect for several TTC lines. Commuters using the 92 Woodbine South bus, the 64 Main bus, or the 501 Queen streetcar should check the TTC’s website for impacted stops. The parade will proceed rain or shine. Environment Canada forecasts a high of 7 C for Toronto on Easter Sunday, with mainly cloudy skies and a 60 per cent chance of rain. See the full forecast here.
