Freezing Drizzle Impacts Toronto Area

Environment Canada reported periods of freezing drizzle Saturday evening could create icy surfaces. The advisory included York Region and parts of Durham Region.

Police across the Greater Toronto Area responded to multiple collisions as a result of the flash freeze and blowing snow. Drivers were urged to avoid roadways due to the dangerous conditions.

Sunday’s forecast for Toronto includes periods of snow and a daytime high of 1 C. The temperature will feel like -6 C in the morning due to the wind chill.

Monday will be cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of flurries and a high of -3 C.
