A young boy died Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle in a traffic accident in Beit Shemesh.
The incident occurred on Chazon Ish Street, where emergency responders found the child critically injured on the road.
Emergency Response and Medical Efforts
MDA paramedics and emergency medics arrived at the scene to find the child unconscious, without a pulse, and not breathing. He had suffered multiple system trauma as a result of the collision.
MDA emergency medic Yosef Chaim Ha’ozi stated that resuscitation efforts, including chest compressions, ventilations, and the administration of medications, began immediately before the child was urgently evacuated to the hospital.
Shaare Zedek Medical Center confirmed that a 5-year-old child arrived at the trauma unit in critical condition. Despite continued resuscitation efforts by medical teams in the trauma room, the child was declared dead from his injuries.
