A truck overturned on Thursday after attempting a turn, causing a large metal cylinder to roll onto the road in Sengkang East Road.
Truck Overturns, Dropping Metal Cylinder
Dashcam footage posted to Facebook by SG Road Vigilante shows the truck pulling out of a construction site and attempting a sharp left turn onto Sengkang East Road. The metal cylinder then slid, causing the vehicle to tip onto its right side and roll onto the median.
Police responded to a report of the incident at Sengkang East Road towards Punggol Avenue at 6:50 p.m. on Thursday.
No injuries were reported. The 40-year-old truck driver is assisting with the investigation.
Some online commenters questioned the driver’s qualifications for transporting the load, while others joked about the incident. One commenter suggested a lowbed trailer should have been used.
