Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Transport announced a new achievement in the five berths project within the Grand Faw Port.
A statement from the Ministry, received by the (INA), stated that “the complete number of the (2072) elements of the manufacturing section of the bridges (housing) has been completed, which are precast elements, which were completely manufactured in the precast element casting yard No. (1). ) located in the container yard.
He added, “This large number of these pieces indicates the magnitude of the work on the sidewalks,” indicating that “the process of installing these pieces continues in Section (18) towards Section 19.”
He continued, “The project to establish the container terminal for the Grand Al-Faw Port, which is one of the five projects of the project, includes the construction of five giant berths for unloading ships with a length of (1,750) meters, and the establishment of a container yard with a length of (1,750) metres.”
The Director General of Iraqi Ports, Farhan Al-Fartusi, confirmed, according to the statement, that “the implementation of these works was carried out based on the directives of the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibas Al-Saadawi, which stresses the importance of concerted efforts in completing the Grand Al-Faw Port.”
