“This represents a historic day in modern Egypt’s history and serves as a documentation of the growth that the country has witnessed,” Egyptian Housing Minister Assem Al-Gazzar said at an event celebrating the achievement on Thursday (17/6).
The investment for this project is estimated at USD 3 billion.

This ambitious project was jointly implemented by the Egyptian Ministry of Housing, represented by the New Urban Community Authority, and the China State Construction Engineering Corporation, one of the world’s largest contractors.

Al-Gazzar said the political leadership took full interest in development projects at NAC.

He said the Iconic Tower project will be a turning point in the history of urbanization in Egypt and next week a new project will be launched in the city of El-Alamein along with several new towers, “which confirms the extent of cooperation between Egypt and China.”
