Former President Donald Trump has added often critical descriptions to portraits of past U.S. presidents displayed in a “Presidential Walk of Fame” he created at the White House.

Trump’s Assessments of Past Presidents

Descriptions accompanying the portraits include accusations and unflattering assessments. President Joe Biden — represented by a picture of an autopen signature — is labeled “Sleepy Joe Biden was, by far, the worst President in American history,” with claims of a “most corrupt election ever” and “unprecedented use of the autopen.”

Former President Barack Obama is described as “one of the most divisive political figures in American history.” The plaque for George W. Bush states he “started wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, both of which should not have happened.”

Praise for His Own Presidency

Trump’s own presidency receives particularly positive descriptions, spread across two displays covering his two terms. The first display lauds his administration for creating “the Greatest Economy in the History of the World” and highlights his 2016 Electoral College victory of 304-227.

The second display references a popular-vote victory in 2024 — which did not occur in 2016 — and concludes with the statement, “THE BEST IS YET TO COME.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated the “plaques are eloquently written descriptions of each President and the legacy they left behind,” adding that “many were written directly by the President himself.” The descriptions reflect Trump’s characteristic style, including bombastic language, mockery, and unconventional capitalization.
