/ The Lebanese capital, Beirut, will host the West Asian Basketball Championship, for the period from the 6th of this month to the 9th of December.
Hosting a tournament for males and females (under 14 years old) is considered an unprecedented step in the Middle East and Lebanon, as three countries participate in the regional tournament: Lebanon, Iraq, and Syria.
A match for males and a match for females will be held daily over a period of three days, with the final for both categories being held next Saturday.
The West Asia region has never witnessed an under-14 championship and later an under-12 championship, in a step initiated by the Lebanese Federation and welcomed by the regional federation in order to cultivate the promising generation in the countries of the region.

Males (under 14 years):
-Wednesday, December 6: Iraq – Syria (19.00)
-Thursday, December 7: Syria – Lebanon (19.00)
-Friday, December 8: Lebanon – Iraq (19.00)
-Saturday 9 December: Final (19.00)
Females (under 14 years):
-Wednesday, December 6: Iraq – Syria (16:30)
-Thursday, December 7: Syria – Lebanon (16:30)
-Friday, December 8: Lebanon-Iraq (16:30)
-Saturday, December 9: Final (16:30).
