20 international companies applied to establish the infrastructure of the new Sadr City »

Today, Tuesday, the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Technical Affairs, Muhammad Sahib Al-Daraji, set the start date for the new Sadr City infrastructure project, while noting that 20 international companies have applied to establish the project.

Al-Daraji told the (INA), “There are invitations that will be sent to companies at the beginning of the new year, to refer the infrastructure project to the new Sadr City and begin the project work.”
He added, “There are 20 international companies that applied for the project,” explaining that “the Baghdad Municipality is responsible for this issue.”
Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani had previously confirmed that the announcement of the implementation of the infrastructure for the New Sadr City project must be made soon, after which work will begin on implementing the first phase of residential units.
The Prime Minister’s Media Office stated in a statement received by the (INA), that “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani chaired the fifth meeting on the New Sadr City project, and was briefed on the latest procedures for transferring ownership of the lands allocated for the construction of the project there, and the preparations for implementing the basic designs of the project.” And its accessories, in addition to informing him of the requirements for conducting laboratory tests related to work safety in order to begin the construction process.”
Al-Sudani stressed, according to the statement, “The announcement of the implementation of the project’s infrastructure must be made soon, after which work will begin to implement the first phase of the housing units, in order to accelerate the completion of this strategic and important project for the citizens of Sadr City and its surrounding areas, which will constitute a qualitative leap.” For urban housing in the capital, Baghdad.
