Gardaí in Waterford are investigating an incident that occurred on O’Connell Street on Wednesday evening.
Investigation on O’Connell Street
Authorities were alerted to the alleged incident at approximately 5 p.m. on February 25th, 2026.
A man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the investigation but has since been released without charge. A file will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Gardaí are appealing to the public for information regarding the incident. Anyone who was in the O’Connell Street area of Waterford at the time and has camera footage or witnessed the incident is requested to contact Waterford Garda Station on 051 305 300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
