Bukidnon State University (BukSU) hosted the ROTC Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) 2026 on April 27, 2026, at the BukSU EduHub campus to evaluate the unit’s administrative efficiency and tactical proficiency.
- The inspection was led by Col. Rey P. Pasco of the 4th Infantry Division.
- Cadets were tested on tactical maneuvers, weaponry assembly, and Basic Life Support.
- The event aligned military training with BukSU’s core values of excellence and professionalism.
Leadership and Program Objectives
The inspection was led by Col. Rey P. Pasco, the RAATI 2026 Chairman and Assistant Division Commander for Reservist and Retiree Affairs of the 4th Infantry Division.
Pasco described the ROTC as a program designed to prepare students for national service, leadership, and responsible citizenship through discipline and physical training. He noted that these elements are essential for building confidence, teamwork, and resilience.
Tactical Evaluation and Skills Assessment
The evaluation began with a Ceremonial Parade and Inspection in Ranks to assess the cadets’ military bearing and discipline. This was followed by field operations featuring company-level maneuvers, Small Unit Tactics (SUT), and simulated raid or ambush scenarios.
Cadets demonstrated technical proficiency in knot tying and map reading, as well as the rapid assembly and disassembly of 5.56 mm rifles.
Additionally, participants underwent theoretical examinations and performed practical demonstrations in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Institutional Alignment and Values
BukSU President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol commended the cadets for their grit and extensive preparation, linking the training to the university’s core values of Professionalism, Integrity, Commitment, Culture-Sensitivity, and Excellence.
Dr. Mirasol emphasized that the inspection serves as an opportunity for growth, stating that being “DASIG” involves showing determination, adaptability, and serving with purpose even in difficult situations.
The RAATI 2026 was coordinated by Mr. Albert A. Celebran, the BukSU NSTP Director.
