Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026 to Debut New 4:3 Foldable Phone and Smart Glass

Samsung Electronics will host Galaxy Unpacked 2026 in London on July 22, 2026. The event features the debut of a wide, 4:3 aspect ratio Galaxy Z Fold8, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Z Flip8. Samsung will also introduce new wearable technology, including a smart glass device named Galaxy Glass.

Expanding the Foldable Portfolio with the Z Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra

Samsung is set to diversify its foldable smartphone lineup, moving beyond a single form factor to offer consumers distinct hardware choices. According to reporting from Chosunonline, the company will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold8, which marks a significant shift with a 4:3 screen aspect ratio. This model represents the first time Samsung has utilized this wider format for its foldable series.

In contrast, the premium Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will retain the more traditional 3:2 aspect ratio. Both devices are positioned at different price points, reflecting their internal specifications and target markets. The Fold8 is expected to retail at approximately 1899 dollars for the 256GB model, while the higher-end Fold8 Ultra is priced at 2099 dollars for the same storage capacity. These prices represent a slight increase compared to previous iterations, a change attributed to rising component costs.
