Hà Nội Interior Company Fire Sends Thick Black Smoke Into Sky

Thick black smoke and intense flames gripped an industrial workshop in Hà Nội on August 1, 2026, causing widespread alarm among local residents. The fire erupted shortly before 4:00 PM inside the premises of the P.H. Interior Joint Stock Company, located in Văn Giáp village within Thường Tín commune. The active fire zone specifically impacted a 100-square-meter section of the building utilized for storing sawdust and waste materials (phế liệu). Upon receiving initial alerts, the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police (Cảnh sát PCCC&CNCH) of Hà Nội Public Security mobilized personnel, officers, soldiers, and specialized equipment to the scene to coordinate with on-site firefighting teams. Additional accounts detail that the Phòng Cảnh sát PCCC&CNCH Công an Hà Nội dispatched 3 fire engines alongside dozens of officers and soldiers belonging to the Đội Chữa cháy và CNCH khu vực số 31 and 32 to douse the fire.
