/ The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced, on Monday, that an agreement had been reached to extend the humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip for an additional two days.

The Hamas movement confirmed that “an agreement was reached with Qatar and Egypt to extend the temporary humanitarian truce for an additional two days, under the same conditions as the previous truce.”

Earlier today, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reported that negotiations to release the fourth batch of prisoners as part of the prisoner exchange deal are still continuing until the moment and no agreement has been reached.

Last Friday, a 4-day humanitarian truce began, after 49 days of war on the Gaza Strip, during which 50 Israeli prisoners were exchanged for 150 Palestinian prisoners (women and children), and humanitarian aid and fuel were allowed to enter the Gaza Strip.

On the first day, Hamas released 13 Israeli prisoners, 10 Thai citizens and one Filipino, and Israel in turn released 39 prisoners (women and children) from its prisons.

On the second day, the Israeli Prison Service said that 39 Palestinians (women and children) had been released in exchange for Hamas’ release of 13 Israeli prisoners and 4 Thai detainees.

On the third day, the movement released 13 prisoners, in addition to 4 other detainees from outside the agreement, while Israel released 39 Palestinian prisoners (women and children) from its prisons.
