Habshan Gas Facility Incident
Abu Dhabi authorities suspended operations at Habshan gas facilities after a fire broke out. The incident occurred after debris fell following successful interceptions by air defense systems, according to officials.
No injuries were reported in connection with the initial incident at the Habshan facility. On March 19, the facility was temporarily shut down after missile debris fell following successful interceptions. The Bab field in Abu Dhabi was also struck on the same day.
Injuries Reported in Ajban Area
Authorities are also responding to falling debris in the Ajban area, where interceptions were successful. The incident in Ajban resulted in 12 injuries.
Six Nepalese nationals and five Indian nationals sustained moderate wounds. One Nepalese national suffered severe injuries.
The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mofa) previously condemned what it described as an Iranian terrorist attack targeting the Habshan gas facility and the Bab field.
