A Spanish press report revealed that Atletico Madrid is obstructing Barcelona’s plan to sign Portuguese Joao Felix during the next season.
Barcelona had signed Felix on loan this season until next June, from Atletico Madrid.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Sport”, Barcelona will make an initial offer to renew Joao Felix’s loan for another season, including the option to buy in the summer of 2025.
The report indicated that the Atletico Madrid management would reject any loan offer from Barcelona.
The newspaper reported that Atletico Madrid may accept the loan, but with a greater financial value that may reach 15 million euros and a mandatory purchase option, but the loan extension will not be accepted under the same current conditions.
So far this season, Joao Felix has played in a Barcelona shirt in 20 matches in various competitions, scoring 6 goals and assisting 3 others.
