Bushra Bibi, the spouse of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, was moved from prison to a hospital late Thursday night, according to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Gohar Ali Khan.
Gohar Ali Khan announced the development in a statement posted on X, noting that the party is awaiting a detailed briefing regarding her medical condition and the treatment she is receiving.
Demands Following Bushra Bibi’s Hospital Transfer
The PTI chairman called for immediate access for the families of both Bushra Bibi and Imran Khan. He emphasized that access to medical care and family visits are fundamental rights.
Khan further reiterated demands for the former premier to be shifted to a hospital for urgent medical treatment, stating that the health of both individuals is “too serious” and a matter of deep concern for the Pakistani public.
PTI Rally Postponed
The announcement comes as PTI recently postponed a planned rally that was intended to seek Imran Khan’s release from jail later this month.
The party stated the event was delayed due to ongoing diplomatic engagements in the federal capital related to the United States-Iran peace process.
