Organizations aiming to secure backing for community-level interventions must submit their proposals before the fast-approaching 15 September 2026 deadline, according to official notices. Projects under this scheme are initially identified by local embassies through applications submitted by potential implementers, followed by formal approval from the Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

Selected entities can expect to sign their contracts during the first quarter of 2027. Implementation is scheduled to run from March through October 2027, with the strict mandate that all projects must be fully executed and funds completely accounted for by 15 October 2027.

Every proposal must directly respond to the national development priorities of the specific host country. To capture the attention of the evaluation committee, projects must heavily emphasize three main priority areas: skills development, community growth, and job creation. Initiatives should outline practical methods for improving local economic prospects, generating income, and fostering useful competencies.

Community development components must clearly show active participation and tangible benefits for local residents. Meanwhile, job creation efforts must be realistic and tailored to the socioeconomic realities of the implementation site.

Financial Parameters, Budgets, and Co-Financing Rules

Approved projects receive financial support spanning from 200,000 to 500,000 CZK.

Strict budgetary ceilings govern how the money is spent. Administrative costs incurred by the implementer cannot be funded. Furthermore, openopportunities.org specifies that “The cost of salary/fee, allowance, accommodation, travel cost, and eventual insurance and vaccination of experts must not exceed 25% of the project’s total costs.”

Strict Legal Prerequisites and Mandatory Documentation

Additionally, applicants must hold the legal capacity to enter into an agreement governed by Czech jurisdiction. • A copy of the document confirming the authorization of the contact person, designated as the project manager authorized to act on behalf of the institution.
• A copy of the ID document or passport of the project manager.
• At least three reference letters or documentations of previous implementations of similar development projects.

Sustainability and Visibility Compliance

A successful bid must establish long-term viability. As emphasized in the program documentation, “Sustainability is a necessary condition, meaning the project must be able to carry on without further financial support from the Czech Republic.” Proposals must explicitly detail how activities will persist, who will maintain them, and how ongoing resources will be secured.

Finally, successful implementers must adhere to strict branding mandates. Project outputs must ensure that “Tangible and intangible assets of the project must bear the logo or mention the financial support of the Czech Aid Development Cooperation.”
